Back On Target: Longtime Ganassi Partner Moves To Montoya's Car
Published January 15, 2009
NASCAR driver Juan Pablo Montoya's No. 42 Chevrolet is expected to be wrapped in the red and white colors of Target in '09, as Wrigley, one of his co-primary sponsors last season, pulls back into an associate position this season. Target previously sponsored the No. 41 at Earnhardt-Ganassi Racing. Wrigley is expected to continue using its Juicy Fruit and Big Red brands in associate positions on Montoya's car. The chewing gum brands shared Montoya's ride last season with Texaco, which exited the sport after the '08 season. Target, entering its 20th season as a Ganassi partner, was on Montoya's open-wheel car in '00 when the driver won the Indianapolis 500.
