Blog Hound: Last Week Of NFL Regular Season The No. 1 Topic
Published December 29, 2008
Over the past 24 hours, Week 17 of the NFL season and the playoffs were the most popular topics, with a focus on the Dolphins-Jets game and Jets QB Brett Favre’s poor performance, which wrecked his teams playoff chances, gave the Dolphins the AFC East title and kept the 11-5 Patriots out of the playoffs. The Lions 0-16 season and the subsequent firing of coach Rod Marinelli also was on top of all of the sports blogs. A video of Eagles Owner Jeffrey Lurie clocking his wife, Christina, in the head after the Eagles scored a touchdown (he intended to high five her) also is circulating throughout the blogs. Rounding out the top five were the Cowboys disappointing season in light of their season-ending 44-6 loss to the Eagles yesterday and a letter written by a Raiders fan, who was ejected from yesterday's Raiders-Buccaneers game and subsequently arrested, which stated that he should not have been ejected.
