NOTES: Fox' coverage of the Giants-Patriots Super Bowl XLII in February, which drew 97.4 million viewers, ranks as the most-viewed single TV telecast for '08. Sports events fill out seven of the top 10 slots (USA TODAY, 12/12).....The CHARLOTTE BUSINESS JOURNAL's Erik Spanberg reported ESPN and WCNC-NBC combined to earn a 51 share in the Charlotte market for Buccaneers-Panthers "Monday Night Football" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 12/10)....In New York, Ken McMillan reported ESPN is averaging 419,000 HHs for the mid-day "SportsCenter" shows, up 6,000 HHs over the similar time slot in the year-ago period. An ESPN spokesperson said that the ratings have increased 2% among men 25-54 since November 5 (RECORDONLINE.com, 12/9).
