Blog Hound: AFL Possibly Suspending '09 Season The No. 1 Topic
Published December 11, 2008
Over the past 24 hours, speculation surrounding whether or not the AFL would have to suspend its '09 season was the most popular topic among the top sports blogs. A big trade between the Suns and the Bobcats was also highly discussed, with many focusing on how the addition of G Jason Richardson would benefit the Suns. The reported signing of P CC Sabathia by the Yankees remained in the top five. Discussion about the three Heisman Trophy finalists -- Oklahoma QB Sam Bradford, Florida QB Tim Tebow, and Texas QB Colt McCoy -- was popular, with many surprised that Texas Tech QB Graham Harrell was left out. Rounding out the top five was praise for Nuggets F Carmelo Anthony tying an NBA record with 33 points in a quarter in the team's win last night over the Timberwolves.
