Over the past 24 hours, the top blogs were discussing the suspension of Stars LW Sean Avery for his "detrimental" comments about Flames D Dion Phaneuf dating his former girlfriend, actress Elisha Cuthbert. For the third consecutive day NFL Giants WR Plaxico Burress was in the top five due to the gun charges he is facing. USC football coach Pete Carroll raised the eyebrows of some bloggers after it was announced that the Trojans would forfeit two timeouts in Saturday's game versus UCLA in order to wear their home colored jerseys in spite of being the visiting team.
