NBC's Notre Dame Football Ratings See Gains For '08

For six Notre Dame football game telecasts this season, NBC averaged a 2.2 Nielsen rating (3.2 million viewers), up 22.2% from a 1.8 rating (2.6 million viewers) for seven telecasts last season. The Michigan-Notre Dame game on September 13 was the team's highest-rated telecast this season and was the first Notre Dame football game rating over a 3.0 since UCLA-Notre Dame in October '06. After the Michigan game, however, Notre Dame's ratings struggled as their record worsened, with the team's NBC telecasts falling below 2.0 for three of their four final telecasts.
