BASEBALL: The Mariners removed GREG HUNTER as Dir of Minor League Operations and promoted co-Coordinator of Minor League Instruction PEDRO GRIFOL to replace him. Nationals coach TIM TOLMAN was named to replace Grifol (SEATTLE TIMES, 11/17)….The Pirates named KEITH CHAMPION Special Assistant to GM NEAL HUNTINGTON. Champion spent the ’08 season as a pro scout for the Red Sox (Pirates)….The Marlins promoted Coordinator of Broadcasting EMMANUEL MUNOZ to Dir of Broadcasting (Marlins)….Little League Int’l (LLI) promoted Senior Communications Exec LANCE VAN AUKEN to VP/Communications (LLI).
