PepsiCo Promotes Jeff Dubiel To VP/Sports Marketing

PepsiCo has promoted VP/Premium Beverages JEFF DUBIEL to VP/Sports Marketing, according to Terry Lefton in this week's SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL. Dubiel comes to the company's sport division after stints at SoBe and the Starbucks/Pepsi beverage partnership. He was a marketing manager at Gallo Winery before joining Pepsi. Dubiel "moves to Pepsi's top sports post" after the September promotion of Pepsi VP/Sports Media & Interactive Marketing RALPH SANTANA to VP/Colas, North America. Santana "ran the company's sports media and interactive marketing division for around two years." Sources said that Dubiel's "new slot will not include the media responsibilities that were held by Santana." Since Santana left his position in September, Pepsi Dir of Sports Marketing JOHN STAMATIS has led the department. A source said, "Jeff's very pragmatic in his approach. Whether it is sports, music, or entertainment. It's all about building brands and moving cases" (SPORTSBUSINESS JOURNAL, 11/17 issue).
