Phillies Raising Some Tix Prices For '09 Season, Freezing Others

Phillies Raising Some Ticket Prices
Following World Series Win Over Rays
The Phillies, coming off their World Series win over the Rays, will "raise single-game ticket prices in most areas" of Citizens Bank Park next season, according to Todd Zolecki of the PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER. Lower-bowl tickets from sections 115-132 close to the infield "have increased from $50 to $60 for single-game tickets and $44 to $50 for season tickets." Increases in other parts of the ballpark range from $1 to $3, while prices for "standing-room tickets ($13) and some of the next-cheapest seats ($16) remain unchanged." The Phillies will send out season-ticket renewal invoices next week (PHILADELPHIA INQUIRER, 11/14). In Philadelphia, Paul Vigna reports prices are "going up for those who purchase the variety of season-ticket packages or buy seats for individual games," and those hikes range from $2 to $6 a seat. Prices for full-season tickets for the '09 season are up on the team's Web site and range from $4,100 for "spots on the field level to $1,316 in part of the terrace deck." Phillies VP/Sales & Ticket Operations John Weber: "Some of the areas we haven't raised since we moved into Citizens Bank Park" (PHILADELPHIA DAILY NEWS, 11/14).
