Fox' Hill Says 3D Technology "Not Far Away," Will Help Boxing
Published November 10, 2008
Fox Sports Chair & Exec Producer David Hill noted 3D is the "future of television" and said it will "change everything and it is not far away from becoming reality,” according to Robert Lusetich of THE AUSTRALIAN. Hill has "already begun experimenting with 3D broadcasts," including renting cameras from film director James Cameron, who has been "leading the Hollywood charge to 3D." Hill: "The results have been fantastic. For instance, I think it is going to save the sport of boxing. We did a very ordinary bout from one of the Indian Casinos (in California) and it was unbelievable. You are right in there in the ring with these guys” (THE AUSTRALIAN, 11/10).
