Blog Hound: NBA Trade, Games Capture Bloggers' Attention
Published November 6, 2008
Over the past 24 hours, the NBA was the most popular topic. Bloggers continued to discuss the trade of G Allen Iverson to the Pistons, but also took note of high-scoring performances by Spurs G Tony Parker and Suns F Amare Stoudemire in their teams' wins last night. Also highly discussed was news that several MLB agents are trying to get contracts signed quickly due to a fear that President-elect Barack Obama's proposed tax policy would increase MLB players' taxes. Bloggers were amused by the news that ESPN's Keyshawn Johnson will be hosting an interior design show on A&E. The Raiders releasing CB DeAngelo Hall surprised bloggers, who were generally critical of the decision and of Raiders' management. Rounding out the top five was the Dodgers' offer to LF Manny Ramirez that would make Ramirez the second-highest paid player in MLB, behind only Yankees 3B Alex Rodriguez.
