Suns G Steve Nash "has been brought on board by Vitaminwater to pump their product" in a series of new viral ads, according to Joseph Ruttle of the Vancouver PROVINCE. In one of the new Vitaminwater spots, Nash "riffs on his star status and camps it up as the consummate self-involved athlete" (CANADA.com, 11/4). In Phoenix, Paul Coro reported Nash wrote the ads, "which include lines like, 'I'm just like you but 10 times better. When you think of MJ, what's the first thing that comes to mind? Me, I know,' and 'I just like to take a big brand, put it on my back, give them a little piggyback ride for a while. See how good they can be'" (AZCENTRAL.com, 11/4). DIME Magazine's Andrew Katz writes the ad campaign "is definitely worth a look," as Nash "has a great sense of humor" (DIMEMAG.com, 11/5).
