Lowe's Extends Naming Rights Deal For Charlotte-Area Track
Published November 5, 2008
Lowe's has signed a one-year contract extension to continue as title sponsor of Lowe's Motor Speedway in '09. The company also will retain marketing exclusivity in the home improvement category at the track. Lowe's acquired entitlement for the facility, formerly known as Charlotte Motor Speedway, in '99 (Lowe's). In Charlotte, Jefferson George notes Lowe's paid $35M for the previous 10-year naming rights deal, which was set to expire next year. Terms of the extension were not released (CHARLOTTE OBSERVER, 11/5).
