Blog Hound: College Football Captures Bloggers' Attention
Published November 3, 2008
Over the weekend, the most popular topic was college football, highlighted by Texas Tech's win over Texas, Florida's win over Georgia and several games being decided in the final seconds. The NFL was also popular, especially the Titans beating the Packers to remain undefeated, the Giants' win over the Cowboys, and the Bengals getting their first win of the season. The Knicks' woes involving G Stephon Marbury, the fans, and new coach Mike D'Antoni were also highly discussed. A seven-year-old Univ. of Cincinnati fan is gaining blog popularity due to the hug he received from Cincinnati WR Marty Gilyard after Gilyard ran into the young fan in the stands during Thursday night's South Florida-Cincinnati game, and the fan's subsequent interview with ESPN's Erin Andrews. Rounding out the top five was surprise at Phillies 2B Chase Utley cursing during a World Series celebration in front of thousands of fans.
