AST Dew Tour Ratings Up, Attendance Down From '07

In its fourth season, AST Dew Tour attendance for its five events was down 4.0% from last year, but up 9.0% from '06. The Tour's stop at EnergySolutions Arena in Salt Lake City drew 63,481 fans for the Toyota Challenge, marking the largest four-day crowd since the Tour began in '05. The chart below shows a three-year attendance trend for each AST Dew Tour event, with a similar trend for the Tour as a whole (THE DAILY).

RATINGS: Airing after NBC's final Olympic event telecast on August 24, the Wendy's Invitational's telecast earned a 2.0 rating and 2.9 million viewers, marking the highest-rated and most-viewed AST Dew Tour telecast since the Tour started in '05. The strong rating led the Dew Tour to see gains from '07, but was still flat with '06, and down from its first year on the NBC in '05.
