ESPN.com Seeing Users Spend More Time On Web Site

Yahoo Sports topped all sports Web sites for the month of September, drawing in 26.0 million unique visitors from home and work combined, according to data from Nielsen Online. That number is down 31% from August of this year, but up almost 19% from September of last year. Looking at the year-ago period, Fantasy Sports Ventures, which is a roll-up of fantasy sports sites, has seen a 68.2% increase in unique visitors. For time spent per user, ESPN.com saw users spent an average of 59 minutes on the site, up over 15 minutes per user from August, and up close to seven minutes from September of '07. The following lists the top 10 sports sites in terms of unique visitors for the month of September, with comparisons to August, as well as to September '07.
