Blog Hound: Red Sox-Rays ALCS The Weekend's No. 1 Topic
Published October 13, 2008
Over the weekend the most popular topic was the Red Sox-Rays ALCS, with many hoping the Rays keep their historical playoff run going. Close behind was the Dodgers-Phillies NLCS, with a lot of conversation centering on Dodgers LF Manny Ramirez. College football was also highly discussed, especially the much anticipated Texas-Oklahoma and LSU-Florida matchups. NFL discussion was popular, highlighted by the Falcons win over the Bears, the Cowboys loss to the Cardinals and Lions QB Dan Orlovsky stepping out of the end zone for a safety in yesterday's game against the Vikings. Rounding out the top five was discussion about Republican Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin's appearance at Saturday night's Flyers game, where she was greeted with boos from the crowd. Most bloggers felt the Flyers had mixed politics with sports, and that having Palin drop the puck was a poor decision by the Flyers organization.
