Night Moves: NFL Primetime Ratings Through Week Five Games

ESPN earned an 8.3 cable rating (11.0 million viewers) for its "MNF" coverage of Vikings-Saints, down 17.0% from a 10.0 cable rating (13.0 million viewers) for the comparable Cowboys-Bills game in '07. Through six games this season, "MNF" is averaging a 9.3 cable rating with 12.6 million viewers, up 6.9% and 13.0%, respectively, from an 8.7 cable rating with 11.2 million viewers through six games last season.
