CLOSE TO SHUTTING DOWN: Driver Bobby Hamilton Jr. said that Team Rensi Motorsports' No. 25 Nationwide Series team "will close its doors in December if a new sponsor to replace Smithfield Foods isn't found by then." Hamilton said that Smithfield "told the team last Monday it would not return next season." Hamilton: "It's simple: If they don't have nothing by December, they're locking the doors." Team Rensi was forced to cut back from two Nationwide rides to one this season "because of sponsorship issues" (SCENEDAILY.com, 9/14).
