Kings, Ducks Partner For First Joint Promo Effort Between Teams
Published September 9, 2008
The NHL Kings and Ducks have partnered on the first joint promotional effort between the clubs, marketing a new ticket-sales package that includes a Ducks-Kings game in L.A. and another in Anaheim. Hockey fans can begin buying those "Freeway Face-Off" packages for $60 this Friday and get a game ticket for the Kings-Ducks game at the Staples Center October 14 and the Ducks-Kings game at the Honda Center on November 16. All fans purchasing the special ticket package also will receive a free voucher for a long sleeve "Freeway Face-Off" shirt. The promo is being done in support of the "Freeway Face-Off" branded rivalry that the teams launched last season with support from FSN West and Prime Ticket. The team that wins the six games between the Ducks and Kings this year will receive a $50,000 donation to that team's respective foundation -- the Kings Care or Ducks Care. The donation will be made by the losing team.
