In L.A., Dylan Hernandez reports Dodgers broadcaster Vin Scully "will be back for his 60th season as voice of the Dodgers" next year. Scully, who is "in the final season of a three-year contract," said that he "received the blessing of his wife, Sandy, to postpone retirement." Scully added that he "does not intend to re-sign for more than a year" (L.A. TIMES, 9/8)....Former KFNS-FM host Kevin Slaten, who in April was fired after putting MLB Cardinals pitching coach Dave Duncan on the air without his knowledge, is "set to fill a midday slot" at KSLG-AM. Slaten will start at the station on Monday, October 6, which is the "first weekday after the noncompete clause he has with KFNS expires" (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 9/6)....Reliance Entertainment will spend $60-70M to buy 75% of California-based Willow TV, which is the world's "largest live streaming video site for cricket." The site has "more than one million registered users," and Reliance plans to "expand its operations" (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 9/8).
