Blog Hound: Brady Injury Talk Dominates Blogs Over Weekend
Published September 8, 2008
Over the weekend, speculation surrounding Patriots QB Tom Brady's injury dominated sports blogs with many wondering what the effect will be on the Patriots' season if Brady is out. The unsportsmanlike conduct penalty called on Univ. of Washington QB Jake Locker with two seconds remaining in Saturday's game against BYU also generated discussion. Some pointed out that the referee's call was correct, but took issue with the rule itself. East Carolina Univ.'s second win in a row over a ranked opponent was also a popular topic, with bloggers debating where the Pirates should land in the Top 25. Two additional NFL topics rounded out the top five, as sparking conversation were both newly-renamed Chad Ocho Cinco still having to wear Johnson on his jersey for the time being and the Bears' 29-13 win over the Colts Sunday night.
