Michigan Leads Schools In Football Attendance; Texas Up 14.7%

The Univ. of Michigan leads all college football teams with 108,326 fans per game, down 1.8% from their final average a year ago. Among schools with the highest average attendance, the Univ. of Texas leads all schools in gains thus far, up 14.7% in Austin. UCLA is seeing the biggest dip among top-drawing schools, off 9.2% at the Rose Bowl, despite an early visit from the Univ. of Tennessee. Other schools seeing early gains are USC, Auburn and Michigan State. The following lists the top NCAA schools in terms of average attendance for the '08 season, with comparisons to final averages for each school from '07 (THE DAILY).
