Citi Inks Two-Year Deal To Become 2010 Ryder Cup Official Partner
Published August 29, 2008
Citi has signed a two-year deal with the PGA European Tour to become an official partner of the 2010 Ryder Cup at Celtic Manor in Wales. Industry sources valued European Ryder Cup deals in the low-seven figures, which includes typical components such as tickets, hospitality and marketing rights, but offers a greater degree of on-course branding than the PGA of America allows for U.S. Ryder Cups. BMW, KPMG and Rolex are also official partners of the 2010 event. Citi declined to comment through a representative of its sports marketing firm, MEC Access, part of GroupM ESP.
