Kroger To Title Sponsor Memphis NASCAR Nationwide Race
Published August 28, 2008
Kroger will title sponsor the October 25 Nationwide Series race at Memphis Motorsports Park (MMP). The race, formerly the "Sam's Town 250," will be called the "Kroger On Track for the Cure 250 presented by Southern Dodge Dealers." Throughout the month of October, a portion of all race ticket sales will support local breast cancer community health programs. As part of the partnership, affiliate chapters of Susan G. Komen for the Cure in Memphis, Tennessee, Jackson, Mississippi, and Little Rock, Arkansas, will be recipients of awareness and fundraising initiatives between Kroger and MMP. Kroger also will return as the Official Grocery & Pharmacy Retailer of the track. Kroger's involvement in NASCAR also includes title sponsorship of the Kroger 200 Nationwide Series race in Indianapolis in July and a pair of Craftsman Truck Series races, in March and October (MMP).
