Callaway Golf said that it has chosen ad agency Eleven, S.F., as its "lead creative shop on its $50[M] business." Sources last week said that Callaway hired OMD for the media portion of the campaign. Callaway in March split from N.Y.-based marketing agency Young & Rubicam. Eleven President Courtney Buechert said that the agency would "focus on Callaway-branded products only, at least at the beginning," rather than Callaway's Odyssey, Top-Flite and Ben Hogan lines (ADWEEK.com, 8/20).
NEW RACING STRIPES: adidas has appointed Iris Worldwide as the lead creative agency on its global running account, following a pitch that included adidas' lead agency, 180 Amsterdam. The assignment "will see Iris manage strategy, advertising and retail and experiential marketing for the brand's running products" (BRANDWEEK.com, 8/21).
NOTES: The Big Ten Network (BTN) has signed ConAgra Foods' Rotel brand to a sponsorship deal for the '08 college football season, which includes exclusive sponsorship of the BTN's "Big Ten Football Saturday" remote game day set and category-exclusive segments during "Big Ten Friday Night Tailgate" and the net's football telecasts (BTN)....EAS in a new Web video features Dolphins RB Ronnie Brown rehabilitating following a knee surgery. Brown in the video is wearing an EAS logo on his shirt and "talks about the benefits of EAS and which products he uses," though it is "woven into the piece that mainly focuses on his workout routine" (SUN-SENTINEL.com, 8/20).
