MLL Regular Season Attendance Up 2.0% From '07

MLL teams averaged 4,516 fans per game during the '08 season, up 2.0% from 4,429 fans per game last year, and up 5.1% from '06, when the league first added West Coast play. The Denver Outlaws once again led the league with 10,853 fans per game, up 2.5% from last season. The Washington Bayhawks, who were among franchises using promotions such as social networking Web sites as portals to expand their connection with their fans, saw averaged attendance jump 47.7% this season, the largest increase among the league's teams. The Barrage, who played their home game in Philadelphia last season, saw an increase in attendance in '08, but played their entire '08 season solely as a traveling team, with home games in Virginia Beach, Irving (TX), St. Louis, Cary (NC) and Hillsboro (OR). The following lists team-by-team attendance for the '08 MLL regular season, with comparisons to the '07 and '06 seasons (THE DAILY).
