Olympic Blog Hound: Phelps, Women's Gymnastics Top The List
Published August 13, 2008
Over the past 24 hours, Michael Phelps and swimming continued to dominate blog discussions of the Olympics as Phelps won his 11th career Gold Medal. The U.S. women's gymnastics team's Silver Medal finish was also highly discussed, though usually mentioned along with questions about the age of members of the Gold Medal-winning China's team. The U.S. men's basketball team was a popular topic, with bloggers noting several team members' appearance at the Water Cube to cheer on Phelps. Now a few days into competition, the medal count has become a more popular topic, with the U.S. having the most medals total but China having won more Gold Medals. Finishing up the top five was NBC's coverage with discussion focusing on the schedule and high ratings thus far. Visit www.sportsmediachallenge.com for more info or see chart below.
