Nortel Becomes Seventh Tier One Sponsor Of 2012 London Games

LOCOG today announced Nortel has become the latest Tier One sponsor of the 2012 London Games, as well as the official network infrastructure partner. Nortel will be responsible for providing BT, LOCOG's communication services partner, with equipment for wide area networks, wireless local area networks and call center and fixed telephony infrastructure. Additionally, Nortel, which also is a VANOC sponsor, becomes LOCOG's fourth sustainability partner along with EDF Energy, BT and BP. LOCOG now has seven tier one sponsors -- adidas (sportswear), BP (oil and gas), British Airways (airline), EDF Energy (energy utilities services), Lloyds TSB (banking and infrastructure partner), BT and Nortel (LOCOG).
