With just over a week before the heavily-hyped Beijing Games begin, the story of air quality just will not go away or get cleared up. The poor visibility and hazy conditions are front-page news in several major dailies, including the L.A. Times, Wall Street Journal and the Globe & Mail, and it is clear that efforts by the Beijing government to address this are either too little or too late. Air quality now has the potential to be the main story of the entire event. Officials are even "looking into a clean air emergency plan."
