NASCAR RATINGS: Last weekend's NASCAR Sprint Cup LifeLock 400 from Michigan Int'l Speedway (MIS) earned a 3.9 coverage area rating on TNT, even with the race from last year, which was title sponsored by Citizens Bank. The race also earned 3.8 million HHs, up 3.2%, and 5.1 million viewers, down 2.7%, making it the highest-rated and most-viewed telecast on cable for the week ending June 15. After two Sprint Cup races, TNT is averaging a 4.3 coverage area rating, up 16.2% from a 3.7 average for its first two races in '07. Additionally, HHs are up 18.4% and viewership is up 12.0%. TNT’s race coverage has also earned significant increases across key demos, including adults and males 18-49 and 25-54. On ESPN2 last Saturday night, the NASCAR Nationwide Series Meijer 300 from Kentucky Speedway earned a 1.3 coverage rating (1.7 million viewers), while on SPEED on Saturday afternoon, the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Cool City Customs 200 from MIS last earned a 1.0 coverage area rating (986,000 viewers), which was up from a 0.7 coverage rating for the race last year (THE DAILY).
