Dow Jones 2008 Olympic Games Index Up 15.52% Since Inception

The Dow Jones 2008 Summer Games Index measures the performance of publicly traded companies which are official partners, sponsors and suppliers of this Olympiad. As of June 9, the index is up 15.52% since its inception on December 31, 2006, whereas the global and European blue chip indexes, the Dow Jones Global Titans 50 and Dow Jones STOXX 50 indexes, are down 5.04% and 1.31%, respectively. The Dow Jones Industrial Average shed 1.02% and the Dow Jones China Offshore 50 Index, which measures the 50 largest Chinese stocks traded overseas, gained 21.85% in the same time period (Dow Jones).
