Turnstile, President Bill Kupper Part Ways After Several Months

Turnstile, which publishes Golfweek magazine, parted ways with President BILL KUPPER this week. Turnstile VP/Finance CLAYTON MORRIS, who was promoted to President, said the move was made primarily because Turnstile wanted the position to be based in its Orlando HQs and Kupper did not want to relocate from his home in Connecticut, where he has been working remotely. Kupper, a former President & CEO of BusinessWeek Group, was named president last September after being lured out of retirement to serve on the BOD in July. Kupper will remain on the BOD and serve as a consultant. Morris’ post will not be filled, and his responsibilities will be split between Controller HARLENE REID and VP/Circulation & Production PATTY GREEN. Last week, Turnstile laid off 14 staffers and closed two of its smaller publications.
