Barkley Says He Will Repay
$400,000 To Wynn Las Vegas
TNT's CHARLES BARKLEY Thursday said that we will repay $400,000 in "gambling markers he owes" the Wynn Las Vegas, though as of 5:00pm PT Barkley had "not contacted the Clark County [NV] district attorney's bad check unit to make arrangements for restitution" (LAS VEGAS SUN, 5/16). The Wynn Las Vegas Wednesday filed a suit in U.S. District Court to force Barkley to pay the $400,000 gambling markers the casino "alleges it extended" to Barkley in '07 (LAS VEGAS SUN, 5/15). Barkley: "My mistake. I'm not broke, and I'm going to take care of it" (AP, 5/15).
