Premier League Attendance Up 4.7% From '06-07

Manchester United (ManU) led the English Premier League (EPL) in attendance once again, averaging 75,691 fans per game at Old Trafford, down slightly from last season's average of 75,826. Among teams who played in the EPL last season, Blackburn saw the biggest gain, up 12.4% in average attendance. Sunderland, who spent the '06-07 season in the Coca-Cola Championship League, was up 27.8% from '05-06, when they played in the EPL. Bolton saw the biggest decline, down 11.5%, as they finished 16th in the 20-team league. Reading, Derby County and Birmingham face relegation from the EPL, while West Brom, Stoke City and Hull City will be promoted for the '08-09 season. The following lists attendance for the EPL season, with comparisons to '06-07 and '05-06 (THE DAILY).
