Notre Dame To Host Arizona State At Cowboys Stadium In 2013
Published May 9, 2008
The Univ. of Notre Dame (ND) and Arizona State Univ. (ASU) have finalized a contract to play a football game in 2013 at the new Cowboys stadium, according to Brian Davis of the DALLAS MORNING NEWS. ND was "initially going to play Baylor at the stadium in 2012," but the deal fell through "because the Big 12 could not work out a television arrangement." But by playing ASU, ND will be the home team and can have the game carried by NBC, its TV partner (DALLAS MORNING NEWS, 5/9). The Cowboys and Cotton Bowl will "manage and market the game" (ARIZONA REPUBLIC, 5/9).
