Blues, Scottrade Center To Renew, Expand Anheuser-Busch Deal
Published May 6, 2008
The Blues and Scottrade Center today are expected to announce a renewal and expansion of their partnership with Anheuser-Busch (A-B). As part of the deal, the beer company will receive its own branded area in the Scottrade Center, which will be known as the Bud Light Blue Zone club. A-B also will receive advertising on Blues radio broadcasts, arena signage and rights to the Blues mark. Terms of the multi-year deal were not available (Tripp Mickle, SportsBusiness Journal).
KEEPING FANS SATISFIED: In St. Louis, Dan O'Neill wrote under the header, "Blues Fans Are Satisfied, But For How Much Longer?" O'Neill noted the Blues ranked a "stunning" No. 14 on ESPN's "Ultimate Standings: Fan Satisfaction Rankings" chart, including 10th overall in the fan relations category. The Blues have "done great things off the ice, shaking hands, kissing babies, mending fences." Now it is "time for the Blues to make hay" on the ice, as a "critically important draft is coming up in June." The Blues are "set up to bring hockey back in a big way in this town" (ST. LOUIS POST-DISPATCH, 5/4).
