In N.Y., John Biggs details Liveboard by Vroop, a Bluetooth-enabled scoreboard that "connects wirelessly to your PC and picks up the current baseball scores and batter's count" for any MLB game. The software runs on Windows and Mac computers and has three modes. Liveboard, available online at www.myliveboard.com for $199, comes with a UBS Bluetooth adapter and is "encased in a frame of solid ash, the same wood used to make baseball bats" (N.Y. TIMES, 5/1).
NOTES: Dick's Sporting Goods has signed on as the Official Sporting Goods Retailer of Little League Baseball and Softball. Under the deal, all Little League teams will receive discount coupons, and Dick's will host in-store events, such as player registration and instructional clinics (Dick's)....U.S. Paralympian Josh George has signed a sponsorship deal with Georgia-based Eagle Sports Chairs. As part of the deal, Eagle will outfit George with all his equipment for this summer's Beijing Paralympics (THE DAILY).
