Published April 21, 2008
Red Sox P Jonathan Papelbon has signed with Massachusetts-based Prime Motor Group to be the exclusive spokesperson for the company, according to the BOSTON BUSINESS JOURNAL. Per terms of the deal, which was brokered by Red Sox radio flagship WRKO-AM, Papelbon will do the auto group’s “radio spots in the Boston market and be featured in signage throughout the dealerships.” Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed (BIZJOURNALS.com, 4/17). Prime Motor Group President David Rosenberg said in a statement: “Papelbon is certainly a fan favorite and we’re thrilled to have him representing our brand.” Papelbon also recently signed a deal to appear in ads for Dunkin’ Donuts (BOSTON.com, 4/17).
