The BUSINESS COURIER OF CINCINNATI reported DHL has added the Reds to its list of MLB sponsorships, becoming the club's "official express delivery and logistics provider" through the 2010 season. The deal includes in-stadium signage in team bullpens, "first ball delivery" before each home game, presenting sponsorship of the July 17-20 Mets-Reds series and sponsorship of the Redsfest event. DHL in return will receive "in-stadium hospitality and a discount ticket program for its employees" (BIZJOURNALS.com, 4/2).
WHEELS & DEALS: NASCAR fan Ron Bernheim's face will appear on the Gillett Evernham Motorspots No. 9 Dodge driven by Kasey Kahne during Saturday's Nationwide Series O'Reilly 300 at Texas Motor Speedway, the prize for winning the online "Your Face in the Race" contest (FT. WORTH STAR-TELEGRAM, 4/3)....The Jimmie Johnson Foundation will be the title sponsor for the NASCAR Camping World Series race at Phoenix Int'l Raceway. The Jimmie Johnson Foundation 150 will run April 10 at 10:15pm ET during the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series weekend at Phoenix (SCENEDAILY.com, 4/2).
NOTES: The AVP Crocs Tour has signed a five-year contract extension with Wilson as the tour's official game ball.
