The Final Four hits San Antonio and there is a chance that some of the schools participating will lose money due to "several mandated costs" that they must pay. In a must-read story, the DALLAS MORNING NEWS details some of the tensions between schools and the NCAA, most of it coming over tickets, the NCAA’s relationship with RazorGator and hotel rooms the schools are required to fill. Each school's ticket allotment has been reduced by the NCAA the last few years, with fewer seats near the floor. The NCAA this year is providing each Final Four school with 3,750 tickets while requiring them to pay for 470 hotel rooms. Univ. of Texas AD DeLoss Dodds, whose team lost more than  $100,000 from playing in the '03 Final Four, said, "The NCAA is requiring schools to pay for more hotel rooms, while giving them less tickets. And then when you factor in this secondary ticket market, it's not a logical sequence."
