Tigers President, CEO & GM Dave Dombrowski, in a Q&A with the WALL STREET JOURNAL's Terry Kosdrosky, talked about his team's season-ticket sales, saying last season "our base was basically around 19,000. Well, we're over 27,000 right now. I don't think anybody would have projected that type of increase ... because you just don't think that's going to take place based upon where we were in the past" (WSJ.com, 4/1)....Bucks Owner Herb Kohl said of possibly adding an investor to the team, "If someone appeared and wanted to be a partner, a local person, and they were the right kind of people, I would listen. If those people appear and want to take a minority position, would I talk with them? Yes. With all humility, it's not at all that I need their money" (BUSINESS JOURNAL OF MILWAUKEE, 3/28 issue)....The BUSINESS FIRST OF BUFFALO ranked the Maple Leafs No. 1 among the 30 NHL teams in terms of business success, as calculated by six business-related categories. The Canadiens ranked second on the list, followed by the Rangers, Senators and Flames (BUSINESS FIRST OF BUFFALO, 3/28 issue).
