The newest iteration of open-wheel racing kicks off Saturday with the IndyCar Series season opener in Miami, and while the estimated 26 cars are the most for an opener since '01, one writer cautions the "fight to win back fans and convert new ones to open-wheel racing has only just begun." IRL Founder Tony George indicates a name change for the series is being considered to be more inclusive of its predecessors, and George hopes to incorporate features of both series, specifically Champ Car's Vanderbilt Cup trophy.  IRL officials also hope to cash in on the popularity of "Dancing With The Stars" winner Helio Castroneves. Meanwhile, the IRL this offseason invested $10M to broadcast every race in HD, including at least six in-car HD cameras, and the new-look series also boasts a revamped Web site with expanded multimedia features.
