Net Gains: Yahoo Tops Sports Web Sites For February

Yahoo led all sports Web sites in unique visitors during the month of February, as it saw its unique viewers increase 46.8%  from the year-ago period. Yahoo also led all sports sites in time per user for the month, averaging close to 39 minutes per user. SI.com saw a 3.3% increase from the year-ago period, fueled by the launch of its Swimsuit '08 issue on February 12. The Web site saw a 4.0% increase in unique visitors during the first 10 says of the Swimsuit issue launch when compared to the same period in '07. NBA.com also saw healthy year-over-year gains, up 26.6% from last year. The site set records for traffic during All-Star Weekend, while also registering an all-time best in video streams on February 17. The following presents the top sports Web sites from February '08, with comparisons to unique visitors from last month as well as February '07 (Nielsen Online).
