CBSSports.com Teaming With Facebook For March Madness

CBSSports.com will host an NCAA March Madness brackets application for the '08 men's basketball tournament that will be offered to users of social networking Web site Facebook. The brackets, located at www.facebook.com/brackets, will be available both online and via CBS Sports Mobile. The application will allow users to fill out brackets, as well as have access to tournament coverage from CBS Sports, CSTV, CBSSports.com and NCAA.com. The application also will include links to watch the live action on CBS' March Madness On Demand service (CBS). CBS is also "selling ad sponsorships tied to the site, but has yet to seal any deals." Last year, the net sold "about $10[M] in ads tied to its digital March Madness extensions" (WALL STREET JOURNAL, 2/7).
