    The relationship between the NFL and NFLPA is about to face its toughest test in quite some time, as the union is throwing around sports’ dreaded C-word -- collusion. The players are expected to fire the first salvo today, asking Special Master Stephen Burbank to overturn the NFL’s decision to lower teams’ debt cap, a move that could be used to decrease the available cash for player salaries. The NFLPA initiates the proceeding after charging that the league violated anti-collusion and anti-circumvention provisions of the CBA. The collusion charge is the first in the 15 years the current CBA has been in place. Meanwhile, union officials broach the subject of a lockout in 2011 during a meeting with several agents before the start of the scouting combine in Indy.
