Super Score: Eli Manning Starring Solo In New Gatorade Ad
Published February 14, 2008
Gatorade has launched a new ad featuring Giants QB Eli Manning as part of its "League of Clutch" campaign "highlighting how Manning held up under pressure" during Super Bowl XLII, according to Holly Sanders of the N.Y. POST. The spot is running on cable networks including ESPN, NBA TV and Fox Sports Net, and will appear during this weekend's NBA All-Star Game coverage. Manning has been on Gatorade's roster since '05, but the ad "marks the first time he will star in a spot for the sports drink" (N.Y. POST, 2/14). AD AGE's Jeremy Mullman reported the ad, via Element 79, Chicago, began airing last night and features clips of Manning's performance in the Super Bowl and "the celebratory Gatorade bath he received after clinching the victory." Gatorade also is auctioning off on eBay five commemorative Gatorade bottles signed by Manning (ADAGE.com, 2/13).
