Red Rover: ESPN To Air Five-Part Series On Dale Earnhardt Jr.
Published January 25, 2008
ESPN2 in February will air a five-part series on NASCAR Driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. titled "Shifting Gears," which chronicles his move from DEI to Hendrick Motorsports. The series will be presented by the National Guard and is produced by Earnhardt's Hammerhead Entertainment, a division of JR Motorsports, in cooperation with Hendrick. The program is part of an exclusive multimedia agreement between ESPN and Hammerhead, and the first episode will air Friday, February 8 at 7:00pm ET (ESPN).
SECOND IS THE BEST: ESPN.com will award $100,000 to the winner of the NASCAR Nationwide Series fantasy contest this year. This will mark the first time that ESPN.com has conducted a fantasy series for NASCAR's No. 2 circuit. Players will pick drivers for three categories -- winner, fastest lap and greatest improvement from pole position to finish. Podcasts and custom video from ESPN racing experts will also be available on the site for players (Michael Smith, SportsBusiness Journal).
