GoDaddy Continues Sports Marketing Push With Hendrick Deal
Published December 19, 2007
GoDaddy.com has inked a sponsorship deal with Hendrick Motorsports’ NASCAR Nationwide Series No. 5 Chevrolet, which will be driven by Dale Earnhardt Jr., Mark Martin and Ron Fellows next season. Go Daddy will be the car’s primary sponsor for six races in ’08, and serve as an associate sponsor for the remaining races. Earnhardt Jr. is scheduled to drive the Go Daddy car during the April 5 race at Texas Motor Speedway (Go Daddy).
WALK THE LINE: GoDaddy.com CEO Bob Parsons appeared on Fox Business last night where he discussed the company’s Super Bowl ads and the controversy that often surrounds them. Parsons: “We make an effort on every ad that we do to get it approved. We have the reputation that that’s not the case, but that literally is the case. What we try to do is push the envelope as much as we can. We try to get as close to that line as we possibly can, and it usually takes us up until real close before the Super Bowl’s actually broadcast for us to get an ad approved” (Fox Business, 12/18).
