He's Been Framed: Baron Davis Joins Reebok's Interview Series
Published November 27, 2007
Warriors G Baron Davis is the latest star of Reebok and cable net IFC's new branded-entertainment effort, a celebrity interview series titled "Framed," set to debut on December 14, according to Shahnaz Mahmud of BRANDWEEK. For the series, which previewed last week at Tribeca Cinemas in N.Y, "each athlete was filmed and directed by a celebrity of his or her own choice," and Davis selected actress Emmanuelle Chriqui (Sloan in HBO's "Entourage"). Mahmud notes Reebok "hopes its product integration is subtle" in the series, as both Davis and Chriqui wear Reebok-branded shirts. Davis also wears a Reebok headband, shoes, wristbands and socks. Reebok Int'l VP/Sports & Entertainment Marketing Todd Krinsky said, "We didn't want this to be about in-your-face-entertainment." Other athletes in the series include Titans QB Vince Young, Nuggets G Allen Iverson and Barcelona F Thierry Henry (BRANDWEEK.com, 11/26).
